Based on the latest advice from the NSW Department of Health, non-urgent elective surgery is continuing as normal. Most consultations with our doctors will continue via Telehealth.
At Sea Change Weight Loss Clinic, we are COVID Safe and committed to the safety of our patients and staff, and to ensuring minimal risk to them and the broader community. We are constantly monitoring the COVID-19 situation and the latest advice from health authorities, and we are updating this page as the situation continually develops. We are contacting patients if their plans need adjustments.
We are COVID Safe and presently conducting most consultations via Telehealth. Patients awaiting clinic consultations will be reviewed by our doctors via Telehealth, and appointment times will remain unchanged.
Please do NOT attend our clinic.
In accordance with state and federal guidelines, elective surgery is continuing at normal capacity.
We note that a suspension was announced by the NSW Ministry of Health on 18 August but that decision (as regards Newcastle) has since been reversed.
We advise patients preparing for surgery and those who’ve recently undergone surgery to practise self-isolation as much as practicable and social distancing in line with the advice from authorities. Here are some resources recommended by our team to support you in this challenging time:
- Tips for Coping with Coronavirus Anxiety from the Australian Psychological Society
- Social Distancing Guidance from the Australian Government
- Maintaining Your Mental Health During Social Isolation from the Australian Psychological Society
We are still available at the clinic and contactable by phone. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
Please take care.
