Based on the latest advice from the NSW Department of Health, non-urgent elective surgery is continuing as normal. Most consultations with our doctors will continue via Telehealth.

At Sea Change Weight Loss Clinic, we are COVID Safe and committed to the safety of our patients and staff, and to ensuring minimal risk to them and the broader community. We are constantly monitoring the COVID-19 situation and the latest advice from health authorities, and we are updating this page as the situation continually develops. We are contacting patients if their plans need adjustments.
COVID-19 Vaccination
As our best measure of community protection, Sea Change supports the vaccination of our community against COVID-19.
We prioritise the protection of our staff and patients and as such we are requesting the COVID-19 vaccination status of new patients at the time of online patient registration. Please inform our staff prior to coming to our clinic if you are unvaccinated as it may impact on your appointment. Also, please be prepared to show our staff your vaccination certificate upon arrival to the clinic.
Consultations
We are selectively seeing some patients for face-to-face consultations and continuing to also consult via Telehealth. For face-to-face consultations, we will request to see your vaccination certificate prior to the consultation. Please discuss this with our staff prior to arrival if you are unvaccinated.
Surgery
Lingard Private Hospital requires patients to have evidence of a negative RAT taken within 48 hours prior to admission for surgery. You will therefore be required to produce date-stamped photo evidence of your negative RAT.
Sea Change continues to take advice from the NSW Dept of Health regarding changes to elective surgery. If your surgical date is affected, you will be contacted by our staff.
If You Have COVID
What if I have tested positive to COVID-19 and have an appointment or surgery booked?
You can attend for a face-to-face appointment in our clinic or for a planned operation after self-isolating for 14 days if you have no symptoms (i.e. no cough, sore throat, runny nose, fever or shortness of breath). If you are inside that 14 day window, then we will offer you a Telehealth appointment. Please contact our staff if you have any questions.
Patient Support
We advise patients preparing for surgery and those who’ve recently undergone surgery to practise self-isolation as much as practicable and social distancing in line with the advice from authorities. Here are some resources recommended by our team to support you in this challenging time:
- Tips for Coping with Coronavirus Anxiety from the Australian Psychological Society
- Social Distancing Guidance from the Australian Government
- Maintaining Your Mental Health During Social Isolation from the Australian Psychological Society
Contacting Us
